Lampton Leisure

BRIEF: to support the transfer of leisure services from an external leisure management company to a council-owned charitable organisation.

In October 2020 The TA6 team took on the short term project to support the transition of 6 leisure centres within the London Borough of Hounslow from a leisure management operator back to the council-owned Lampton Leisure Ltd.  The support consisted of a complete re-brand, new website, marketing plan to facilitate the re-launch of the 6 facilities and a training and development programme for staff.

The key objectives of the support was to get facilities ready to re-open having been closed throughout the COVID pandemic.  The facilities were rebranded to Lampton Leisure.  Working alongside the Lampton Leisure team and 3rd party suppliers the development of the new website, against tight deadlines for re-opening, was challenging but was achieved through the strength in partnership of all involved.

The relaunch campaign Time to Make a Change was produced following a series of briefing and marketing sessions with emphasis on the re-opening and the management change.

A range of advertising channels were utilised, including:

  • Facebook & Instagram pay-per-click (PPC) advertising

  • Google AdWords (search and display)

  • Email and SMS to ex-members, prospects and active members

  • Leaflet, poster and banner production

  • Electronic advertising boards in the local area

  • Paper and magazine adverts

  • The introduction of the new & approved app to support communication and services

As of January 2021 a training programme was currently in progress, having delivered the first sessions to the management team with great feedback.  Further session to the wider workforce are scheduled to be delivered over the coming months.

“Our partnership with Alliance Leisure has been a vital part enabling a Lampton Leisure to mobilise a new business in a short space of time. Alliance Leisure and TA6 have supported the creation of a Lampton Leisure brand, design and launch of a new website and marketing campaign for the launch of the new business. All of this has been done in a fraction of the time it would ordinarily take without compromising on the quality of the outputs. Additionally Alliance Leisure has provided staff training support for the onboarding and sales, and will continue to support the business in 2021 in reopening and recovery once the lockdown is lifted.”

This was a great project to lead as it covered a wide range of services with the challenge of hitting tight deadlines. We're looking forward to working with the new organisation as they re-launch their facilities and services.
